Greek Independence Day Parade 2011

St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Clifton was well represented at the Greek Independence Day Parade in New York City this year.  St George Clifton marched in the second battalion down 5th Avenue on the sunny but chilly Sunday afternoon. The cold temperature was no match for the warmth our marchers felt as they proudly represented  our church and our Greek heritage. The ministries of the Philoptochos Society, Parish Council, GOYA, Hope & Joy, Greek School, Greek School PTO, and Sunday School marched along with the float that was generously sponsored by the Waterside Restaurant & Catering and the Hanover Manor.  We thank all those who participated in this years parade and our float sponsors.
